Healthcare management training

Since 1992 Project HOPE has been training healthcare managers in central Europe; training them in resource management and health policy development to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their health care institutions.

In 2001 we reported that we had financed an assessment team to the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to gauge the need and suitability of a managers training programme.

Our results indicated an urgent need for improved management capability in delivering healthcare to a majority poor population. Now we can report the first batch of ‘graduates’ and funding to continue for the next two years with the help of Johnson & Johnson.

To date over 1,250 health professionals have received training via the Project HOPE Health Care Management Training programme.
