With the early stages of the Munsieville Children's Cup now completed, excitement is building for the final game between Brazil and Germany on Sat 10 July. The Munsieville International Children’s Cup was organised to coincide with the FIFA World Cup and to launch Project HOPE UK’s new Thoughtful Path programme, focusing on children as champions. It also highlights sport as one of seven core service “hubs”, set to transform the community over the next ten years.
Watch the video for the Munsieville International Children’s Cup here (featuring Waving Flag by K’NAAN) and show your support for your favourite team by making a donation online here - all funds raised will go to our Thoughtful Path programme in Munsieville.
“The Thoughtful Path: Munsieville” is a ten year initiative which draws together an international partnership with one clear focus - to create a new “gold standard” for the long-term community-based care of orphans and other vulnerable children, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to emerge as a healthy, productive adult.
Over 65 percent of the children in Munsieville live in slum shacks, facing a daily struggle against the impact of poverty-driven threats to their health and well-being - The Thoughtful Path: Munsieville, harnesses the skills and energy of the entire community, served by an international network, to address not just the effects of ill-health, but the root causes.
Thank you for your support.
