Volunteering
Throughout its history, the real heroes of Project HOPE UK have been the countless volunteers whose commitment and sacrifice has only been matched by the extraordinary contribution to the lives they helped to save and enhance. Today, volunteers are the bedrock of the organisation, working to deliver front line health services, driving forward health policy, fundraising and lots more …. just using what they have to make this world a better place.
Committed volunteers are always in demand at Project HOPE UK – whatever your skills, we can put you to work, helping, either directly or indirectly, to save and enhance the lives of people in the world’s poorest communities. We have a special emphasis on the health and total well-being of orphans and other vulnerable children.
Recent volunteers have been deployed in communications, health promotion, construction, research and fundraising. Some have been seconded by their employers, others have given a few hours of their spare time – all have been greatly valued and have made significant contributions to our work. Watch this video of one of our recent volunteers talking about his 3 month secondment with us.
