Where we work

Project HOPE UK is part of the international Project HOPE organisation working in partnership with local communities to find lasting health solutions for some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people worldwide.

Some of the programmes that we have developed are:

  • Paediatric and Adolescent Health programme – Working with local partners in the Nagan Raya & Aceh Barat Districts of Indonesia to re-establish health programmes for infants and children post-tsunami and to improve paediatric care services by providing equipment for intensive care units in four hospitals.
  • Village Health Bank programme – An innovative programme that integrates health education with income generation as a way to improve the health and quality of life among vulnerable women in Africa and Central America.
  • Change for Children programme – Shanghai Children’s Medical Centre in China has so far provided palliative care training for the care providers of up to 4,000 children diagnosed with terminal cancer.
  • Russia’s Children and Total Well-being programme – From medical training and supplies at one children’s hospital, this programme also covered Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDS and has now expanded across 13 regions in the Russian Federation to increase the health and wellness of orphaned and other vulnerable children.
